The Strata 2 project is conceived as the largest manufacturing plant for the aerospace industry in the Middle East, comprising two fabrication and assembly lines for large-scale composite aerostructures (the facilities are designed for the integral production of HTPs & VTPs ready for shipping to the Final Assembly Lines), the new headquarters for 350 working stations, a logistics centre and the associated central services building.

The whole complex covers a built-up surface of approximately 62,000 m2. Strata 2 is envisaged to become the Factory of the Future, and integrates the most advanced production technologies and ICT systems.

The key tasks we carry out in this project include:
¬ Leading the selection of the project team (design and cost management consultancies)
¬ Preparation of tender documents and selection of the contractor
¬ Planning, risk management and stakeholder management
¬ Design management and review
¬ Specialised technical support in aeronautical manufacturing and machinery
¬ Control of work progress, health and safety, and environment
¬ Management of client requirements
¬ Management and control of documentation
¬ Drafting of reports and minutes

AERTEC works at the client’s offices, coordinating daily with the client, with the rest of the consultants and with the contractor. This ensures that the client’s high expectations are transferred to the project team quickly and clearly, and that the relevant information reaches the client, providing support and advice for appropriate strategic decision making.
