Farnborough International Airshow (FIA 2022) celebrates a new edition. It is one of the most important air shows in the world, which has once again rescued its face-to-face format after the last virtual edition held in 2020. Manufacturers, suppliers and the most prominent firms in the aerospace, defense, security, and space sectors, will meet in the town of Hampshire until July 22, including AERTEC, the international company specializing in aerospace technology.
AERTEC has been participating in this important industry event in the United Kingdom for a decade. The company has been running a subsidiary there since 2013, allowing it to consolidate its presence as a provider of specialized industrial engineering and manufacturing services, especially in the field of tooling design for the aeronautical sector. AERTEC is also a strategic supplier of engineering services to Airbus, together with Indian multinational Tech Mahindra. A technological alliance that is not only limited to supporting the aeronautical programs of Airbus across all its divisions, subsidiaries, and affiliates; the two companies are already collaborating in other areas such as software and hardware development and production management.
The firm’s short-term objectives include the provision of consultancy services in aeronautical program management, as well as the implementation of technological solutions in the aeronautical industry in the United Kingdom.
At the Farnborough Air Show, AERTEC will also be showcasing its specialization as a consultant for “Programme Management Office” services, which the firm is already developing together with EOCEN in Spain, France, Germany, and Canada, and which it intends to implement in the United Kingdom. The company is also looking to consolidate alliances in the MRO sector.
“Farnborough is an excellent platform to show the industry everything we do at AERTEC around the digitization and automation of technological solutions, which are the trends that are shaping the aeronautical and aerospace sector. The United Kingdom, moreover, is a strategic market for us, where we want to continue to grow in areas where we are well positioned but also advance in the implementation of other services that we already develop in other countries”, says Ángel Lucena, Director of AERTEC’s Aeronautical Industry division.
FIA 2022 focuses an important part of its program on the sustainability of aviation, and on those innovations and developments that will reduce the climate impact of the aerospace sector. For years, AERTEC has been working on the zero-emission aircraft, being one of its priorities in its R&D program, and is at the forefront of aircraft electrification thanks to the design and development of HVDC power distribution solutions – High Voltage Direct Current and electrical systems that replace hydraulic or pneumatic ones.
Says Darren Culshaw, Country Manager of AERTEC in the United Kingdom: “the gradual recovery of the aeronautical sector will be visible in Farnborough, a recovery that is based on decarbonization and sustainability, and on all the developments and technologies that are contributing to a greener aviation. And it is here that AERTEC brings numerous solutions that add great value to the industry”.
