My first few days at AERTEC

I have been familiar with the world of aeronautics since 18, when I started working for Iberia Handling as a labourer. I joined AERTEC after being recommended by a client. I was asked to send my CV, they interviewed me and was asked to join the company as an airport service technician.

My career at AERTEC

I was very nervous but also very excited on the day I joined AERTEC. However, this was when the COVID-19 pandemic had struck Spain, so I did not see many colleagues at the start, since not many people could work at the office during this period.

Since then my career has gone at supersonic speed, just like the Concorde airplane in its day, working in different positions, applying what I have learnt and acquiring experience, which now sees me lead the airport operations team.

What I like most about my job

What I find most appealing is that no two days are the same. I participate in 34 cross-disciplinary projects of different scopes and categories, so there are many different disciplines and special cases: Commercial, Handling, Passenger Services, PRM, Security and Airport Operations. During a normal workday, I am responsible for planning tasks, managing people, dealing with the client, holding meetings and working on projects in the Aviation area.
