AERTEC has extensive experience in the avionics sector and in the design and manufacture of critical embedded systems for the aerospace industry.

AERTEC’s goal is to develop new aircraft systems and equipment based on innovative technologies which offer significant improvements to the experience and operations of pilots and cabin crews, simplifying and reducing their workload and guaranteeing safety.

AERTEC offers the aeronautical sector specific products for cockpits, cabins and cargo areas, based on:

  • the concept of distributed systems through a modular and versatile configuration in intelligent building blocks (nodes)
  • the design and development of complex electronic HW
  • the development of embedded SW for critical safety systems
  • advanced avionics HW / SW concepts associated with integrated modular avionics (IMA)
Avionics

AERTEC promotes a simple yet holistic approach to developing building blocks for both hardware and software for distributed embedded or mission systems, considering scalability, reuse and interoperability to be essential, and using assisted development methods in MBSE and CI/CD, to reduce development cycles through agile development and rapid prototyping.

AERTEC excels in distributed system management. With the aim of producing dynamic embedded systems that are intelligent, versatile, reconfigurable, modular, scalable and certifiable, AERTEC implements technology that incorporates the concept of:

CORE Computer + embedded electronic HW + integrated certifiable SW (IMA)

Additionally, as part of Airbus’s cabin and cargo digitalisation campaign, AERTEC is implementing data management functions, strategies and techniques for the distribution, compression and transmission of A/C data and it promotes the inclusion of SDR and SDN for simplified and optimised network management.

Most of these systems are critical from a safety perspective. This is why we base our developments on VxWorks 653 / PikeOS real-time operating systems and adapt them for DO-178B certification to ensure that they are robust and reliable and we use modelling tools (MATLAB and SIMULINK) and microcontroller and FPGA programming. We also base our project management on the CMMI methodology to ensure traceability and integrity.
