AERTEC Solutions has secured a new contract for technological retrofits on the AIRBUS Tablada Electrical Workshop. The fresh contract follows a series of collaboration endeavors started years ago aimed at developing and deploying in production a number of Factory 4.0 Industrial Means, such as the iWorkbench.
A smart factory industrial means which reduce preparation and touch times, and synchronize the embodyment of design changes.
AERTEC Solutions, a tier one Manufacturing Engineering supplier of AIRBUS for 20 years, has been working jointly with the AIRBUS Tablada Manufacturing Engineering team to develop a lean electrical harness manufacturing system, consisting of overhead digital projectors, ruggedized workbenches, interactive software, operator tablets and barcode readers. The iWorkbench simplifies, enhances and speeds up cable manufacture providing direct access to the workstation’s information system through digital interactive production orders.
The result is a smart factory industrial means which reduce preparation and touch times, and synchronize the embodyment of design changes, delivering a right-first-time capability which minimize scrap and dramatically cut development lead times.
