The 6th edtion of HOMSEC, the International Security Technologies Trade Fair, will kick off tomorrow. It has already consolidated itself as the main platform for professional interchange in Spain for the national security and defence sector and is expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors this year. AERTEC Solutions is one of 195 participating firms which will get together at IFEMA during three days to showcase their latest developments.
The international engineering firm will exhibit its portfolio of solutions in the area of unmanned aerial vehicles, the most outstanding of which is the “TARSIS” fixed-wing aerial platform, a versatile high-performance solution which allows for different configurations and missions. It is a high-technology tactical remotely piloted aircraft system (UAV/RPAS) designed for observation and surveillance applications in both the civil and military spheres.
More specifically, AERTEC Solutions will exhibit the TARSIS 75 and TARSIS 25 versions, which are the result of the intense work carried out by the company’s most technological areas over the last few years. The company will display a real TARSIS 75 light tactical RPAS on its corporate stand (G01) at HOMSEC 2017. This version has a wingspan of 75 metres, a maximum take-off weight of 12 kg, a maximum payload of 12 kg, autonomy of 110 hours, a maximum speed of 110 km/h and can perform its missions from a runway as well as from a catapult. It can also land with the aid of a parachute. Like the TARSIS 25, it stands out for its ability to operate in adverse weather conditions.
AERTEC Solutions will also exhibit other unmanned aircraft system guidance, navigation and control systems, along with its ground control system at HOMSEC. All of this aims to consolidate the company’s relationships with the defence sector in both Spain and abroad and take advantage of the new business opportunities offered by this emerging area in the current market.
“AERTEC Solutions has been contributing with its experience in the aerospace sector for two decades. In recent years, it has intensified its efforts in the defence systems area, where we contribute with the design of onboard software and control and guidance system innovations for aircraft and other unmanned vehicles”, affirmed Pablo Becerra, the company’s Aerospace and Defence Systems Manager.
