Aeronautical consultancy firm AERTEC, alongside its French partner PLANITEC, has been awarded the framework contract for the next three years.
AIRBUS has awarded the multinational aeronautical firm AERTEC an important contract to provide services during three years to the Programme Management Office (PMO). This contract positions AERTEC Solutions as the only Spanish-based firm to provide this type of service to AIRBUS. This award will also allow the firm to cover all requirements in this field in Spanish centres until 2016, while also assuring further transnationality, together with French partner PLANITEC, at European level.
This new contract further strengthens the activities carried out by AERTEC in this context since 2010, in the AIRBUS A350XWB and A320 programmes.
The framework contract consolidates AERTEC’s position as lead contractor in this type of service, and will generate further opportunities through PLANITEC, for close-knit collaborations in France and at the other EADS centres. The consultancy firm announced at the Paris Airshow Le Bourget that: “the knowledge and experience that we have accumulated up to this point certifies us as one of the leading firms in programme management and offers us the possibility to provide support to the auxiliary industry, in which we already operate with a team jointly with AIRBUS and a Spanish Tier 1 aerostructures firm.”
AERTEC is a multinational engineering and consultancy firm specialised in the aeronautical industry, airports and air transport. It has carried out projects and studies in over 18 countries, taken part in the world’s most important aeronautical programmes and has worked at 70 different international airports. The company has offices in Spain, the UK, France, Portugal and Morocco and its workforce is made up of over 350 professional aeronautics experts.
