My first few days at AERTEC

I have always been passionate about aeronautics and aviation. My dream was to become a pilot and to study Aeronautical Engineering. Unfortunately, I was unable to do so for economic reasons. However, I developed a great interest for building model aircraft. Finally, the pandemic gave me the opportunity to join AERTEC thanks to my internship as part of the RPAS Master’s degree.

My career at AERTEC

I joined the company as an intern as part of the RPAS Master’s degree. On my first day, I was greeted by a member of the RPAS Department, who talked to me about the company, the work atmosphere, the procedures, and also showed me around the TARSIS models, answering all of my questions about aircraft… well, at least, everything he knew!

I am very happy, because my career at AERTEC has allowed me to grow professionally. I have had the opportunity to work on different projects, see the inside of an A400M’s and C295’s fuselage, and to work in different teams and meet new colleagues. During this time, I have managed to work on my social and management skills, acquired thanks to extensive professional experience and, to some extent, manage to achieve the goal of changing to a new career. In addition, my line managers and supervisors have understood my situation and I am now incredibly motivated at work for all of these reasons.

What I like most about my job

I really enjoy working on many different tasks, where we put into practice and improve upon concepts I learnt during the RPAS Master’s degree. AERTEC’s existing corporate organisation is great, you feel like you are working for a great company. I’m talking about the Support, Quality, Risk Prevention Service, Human Resources, Training, Marketing, Communication areas and the Works Committee. All offer a quality service to their employees, making everything work smoothly.

On a more personal level, I love the work atmosphere, one in which all team members are willing to help each other, with respect for other colleagues and managers, from the team leaders to the company’s owners.

Working in AERTEC

The company is constantly growing in the aeronautical sector, has a very effective organisation and, despite being a large corporation, it deals with employees directly and personally, offering them the opportunity to move to a different area within the company, to work on diverse projects and with very good conditions for employees. It also offers the possibility of working from home.

Life beyond the office: my hobbies

I am passionate about my family, model airplanes, racket sports (tennis and padel), trekking and nature.
