The multinational engineering and technology company specialising in aeronautics and defence, AERTEC Solutions, with a presence in major global aeronautical programmes, is making a determined commitment to international growth with its business line dedicated to Design and development of embedded systems for the aerospace and defence sector.

With this objective, the company will participate from 30 November to 2 December in a new edition of Expodefensathe International Defence and Security Fair, which is held annually in Bogotá (Colombia), where it will present its specialised portfolio of services and products for the sector. Specifically, the company will unveil to the Latin American market its Lightweight aerial platform TARSIS [+], a versatile, high-performance solution that allows for different configurations and missions. It is a high-tech, lightweight tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV/RPAS), designed for reconnaissance, surveillance, and light armament integration applications.

TARSIS, which is being incorporated into the company's portfolio of embedded systems solutions, has a wingspan of 5.2 metres and a length of 2.9 metres. Its operations can be carried out both conventionally from a runway, or using a catapult and parachute with airbags. Its characteristics also include a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 65 kg; a maximum payload weight of 12 kg; and an endurance of between 8-15 hours.
