Aircraft black boxes

Although we have rarely seen one, the black box is often one of the most familiar internal elements of an aircraft. Not only is it a witness to any airborne incident, but it is also one of the most familiar internal parts of an aircraft. a key part of improving aviation designs and procedures. It was undoubtedly a key invention in the history of aviation safety, which almost did not exist because the Australian aviation authorities to whom it was presented considered it useless and problematic for relations with the pilots' community.

Fortunately, this was not the case. Within a few years of its invention, its incorporation into all civilian aircraft was mandatory.
