AERTEC Strengthens Its Presence in the Middle East with an Office in Saudi Arabia

AERTEC is building on more than 15 years of experience in the region with a new office in Riyadh, from which it will provide direct support to clients and projects as part of one of the largest airport investment cycles driven by Saudi Vision 2030

AERTEC has strengthened its presence in the Middle East with the opening of an office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from which it is already providing direct support to clients and projects through a team based in the country. The new office is a response to the company’s sustained growth in the region and the increasing demand for specialized services in the Saudi market, which is currently undergoing one of the largest airport investment cycles in its history.

The opening of this office marks the culmination of AERTEC’s more than 15-year history in the Middle East, where the company has carried out airport projects in some of the most important and strategic markets worldwide. Throughout this period, the company has worked in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, and other countries in the region, participating in initiatives related to the planning, development, modernization, and optimization of airport infrastructure.

The establishment of the Riyadh office strengthens AERTEC’s ability to work more closely with the operators, developers, and government agencies leading the transformation of the Saudi airport system. In recent years, the company has collaborated with some of the country’s most prominent entities in the sector, including MATARAT, Riyadh Airports Company (RAC), and King Salman International Airport Development Company (KSIA), participating in some of the most significant airport projects currently underway in Saudi Arabia.

“Strategic Initiative”

According to Carlos Berenguer, Managing Director of the Aviation Division, “Saudi Arabia and the Middle East represent a strategic priority for AERTEC. I am convinced that our growth in the region must be based on what we do best: specialization, technical excellence, and long-term commitment. Today, we have more than 300 experts in airport consulting and engineering, with 25 professionals already in the region and more than 30 by the end of 2026. Our goal is to grow alongside our clients, delivering real value to airport development in KSA and the Middle East.”

A permanent presence in the country will allow AERTEC to expand its technical response capacity, strengthen its engagement with clients, and provide specialized expertise in a context shaped by the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, the national strategy driving the Kingdom’s economic diversification and the modernization of its critical infrastructure. In the airport sector, this process is creating new opportunities in strategic planning, design, engineering, operations, sustainability, digitalization, and improving the passenger experience.

“Long-term relationship with airports in the Middle East”

According to Yousef Al Jaouni, AERTEC’s Managing Director for the Middle East, “the opening of the office in Riyadh strengthens our long-term relationship with Saudi Arabia. We have been working in the region for more than 15 years, but now that we have a permanent presence in the country, we can better support our clients, gain a more direct understanding of their priorities, and provide our technical expertise with greater proximity and continuity.”

With this opening, AERTEC is advancing its international growth strategy and consolidating the Middle East as one of its priority regions. The company is thus strengthening its position in a region and market of high strategic value, where air connectivity, operational efficiency, and the development of new airport infrastructure play a key role in economic and logistical transformation.
