The technology company is already working on this embedded computer based on its own technology for the new integrated advanced training system for fighter pilots (ITS-C) of the Air and Space Force.
Following the recent formalization of new industrial commitments within the SAETA II program, it has been announced that AERTEC will be responsible for the development of six different configurations of this computer designed to perform the integration, real-time processing, and management of critical data between different systems of the future aircraft. These equipment will perform essential functions within the avionics architecture, ensuring the highest level of reliability, safety, and availability in accordance with the demanding technical and certification requirements specific to the aeronautical industry.
According to the multinational company with Andalusian origins, the solutions developed by AERTEC are based on proprietary technology and modular, scalable electronic architectures designed to facilitate their adaptation and reuse in different aeronautical platforms and programs, both civil and military. This approach allows optimizing development processes, reducing technological risks, and strengthening the technological autonomy of the Spanish industry in the field of embedded electronic systems.
According to Pedro Becerra, general director of Aeronautics and Defense at AERTEC, «Participation in SAETA II represents a new milestone in AERTEC’s growth strategy within the high-criticality aeronautical systems market and consolidates its positioning as a leading technological provider in avionics, embedded electronics, and the development of critical hardware and software”. On a national level, Becerra highlights that this program, “contributes to the strengthening of national industrial capabilities and the generation of high-value-added technological knowledge, with potential for application in future national and international aeronautical programs.”.
AERTEC highlights its gratitude to Airbus “for the trust placed in our technological and engineering capabilities, as well as recognizing their leadership and fundamental role as a driving force in the development of the Spanish aeronautical industry. Their commitment to the participation of national companies in strategic programs such as SAETA II contributes decisively to strengthening the industrial fabric.”.
