Business leaders from the Aeronautical Systems Cluster at the Andalusia Technology Park (PTA) are visiting the main aeronautical facilities in the French city of Toulouse. This delegation comprises a dozen companies and entities, including AERTEC Solutions, Advanced Engineering & Innovation, Andalucía Tech, ATyges, Málaga City Council, Hélice Foundation, Fujitsu Ten, Andalusia Technology Park, Raytheon, and the University of Málaga.
The aim of this commercial action, according to the President of the Technology Park, is to establish cooperative ties with Aerospace Valley, a cluster of aerospace engineering companies and research centres that boasts over 500 affiliated companies, including prominent ones such as Airbus, EADS, Air France Industries, and Dassault Aviation.
According to Antonio Gómez-Guillamón, General Director of AERTEC Solutions and member of the Aeronautical Systems Cluster of the Andalusia Technology Park, «it is important to establish these types of meetings, which allow us to find out firsthand how the aerospace industry is evolving while also fostering the creation of business links between European companies in the same sector.».
Aerospace Valley is located in the Midi-Pyrénées and Aquitaine regions of southwestern France, around the city of Toulouse, and is currently one of Europe's leading aerospace hubs.
In addition to holding business meetings and encounters with companies affiliated with Aerospace Valley, to promote business cooperation, the Andalusian delegation will also undertake a visit to the Airbus headquarters and its Flight Test Centre, where they will be received by their management personnel.
As part of the visit's itinerary, the PTA businessmen will also be received by the Mayor of Toulouse and will participate in the ‘International Exhibition of Innovation and Competitiveness’, a trade fair that brings together most of the innovative companies in the aeronautical sector at a national and international level.
