Augmented reality at airports

The aviation sector combines all the necessary ingredients to be an attractive testing ground for the latest emerging technologies. The confluence of millions of potential users, dozens of different services, complex processes, high security requirements and other singularities of this type of facilities make many managers implement some applications that have hardly been used in other environments.

The augmented reality is possibly one of the technologies that we have most easily integrated into our lives. This is largely due to the universalisation of mobile phones, which are becoming more and more inseparable from our daily lives. Almost everyone has an application on their terminal that makes use of this type of solution. Airports are no exception.

In this infographics We have compiled a small overview of the main applications of augmented reality in airports, both on the landside and airside. Each of the applications mentioned in the airport context has, in turn, a multitude of diversification and specialisation possibilities. Many are already a reality, but others are still to come.
