AERTEC Solutions, Medal of Andalusia 2015

 

The Governing Council of Regional Government of Andalusia Spain has agreed to grant the Community Medal to the company AERTEC, among other personalities from the business and cultural worlds.

The Vice-President of the Regional Government and Minister of the Presidency, Manuel Jiménez Barrios, has underlined that those honoured contribute «to the task of building a better Andalusia» and recall, as do those distinguished in previous editions, «the enormous talent that Andalusian society enjoys in all areas».

«Son example of commitment, a spirit of overcoming challenges and a commitment to progress in our region, of an Andalusia that is ready to take on new challenges and to conquer new horizons«Jiménez Barrios has stated, valuing that this group of people and entities reflects «a prepared, committed and brave society, which is in a position to look to the future with confidence».".

He has also expressed his satisfaction that the award winners «represent the profile of a creative and diverse Andalusia, which continues to move forward and gain prominence both in Spain and beyond our borders» and reinforce confidence in the future of this land.

Specialising in the airport and aerospace industry, It has a workforce of 400 professionals and an annual turnover exceeding €16 million. It works with over 70 international airports in 21 countries across five continents.

The linkage and specialisation The company has had a permanent relationship with the aerospace sector since it secured its first contract with Fuerteventura Airport in 2000. The following year, it signed an international contract with Luton Airport (Great Britain) and with European Aeronautic Defence and Space (EADS), which allowed it to create an aerospace division that today represents half of its business.

In addition to being present in the main aeronautical hubs in Spain, with headquarters in Málaga, Seville, Madrid and Barcelona, it has offices in the United Kingdom, France and Portugal. The Málaga-based firm has a multidisciplinary template capable of developing expert services encompassing the entire airport lifecycle, from conception, planning, design and facility development to the operation and management of its services and technologies.

The multinational corporation is present in major global aeronautical programmes like the A350XWB, the A400M, A320 or A330MRTT. Currently, its international projects represent more than 70% of the company's airport business. Among these projects, those being developed in Colombia, Panama, Peru, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Spain stand out.

AERTEC is preferred supplier for Airbus in manufacturing engineering services for their civil aircraft, in addition to lending its knowledge and experience in the activities of industrialisation, manufacturing support, assembly and design and production support on the A350, A380, A320 and A330 programmes, mainly.
