AERTEC is strengthening its commitment to technological development and aims to establish itself as an international leader. As part of this effort, it has just completed the sale of its third-party manufacturing engineering division to the SII Group, a move that will allow the company to focus its resources and decisively drive growth in its other high-value-added businesses.
AERTEC has recently completed a new phase of its strategic plan aimed at becoming a global leader in the technology sectors of comprehensive airport consulting and the development of proprietary aviation and defense systems. Accordingly, it has finalized the sale of its “manufacturing engineering” division to focus all its resources on these two sectors. With this acceleration of its strategic plan, AERTEC is redirecting financial and management resources toward businesses with higher value-added and high growth potential, where it aims to strengthen its leadership role in the coming years.
With this sale to the SII Group of the part of the business dedicated to providing services to third parties, the Spanish technology company gains the financial capacity to accelerate its innovation, industrialization, and technological development processes. Antonio Gómez-Guillamón, CEO and founder of AERTEC, notes that the company has a consolidated EBITDA margin of 10% and that it maintains its goal of “Reach 100 million euros in revenue by 2031. To achieve this, we will continue to bring on board specialized talent, expand our international presence, and strengthen our in-house industrial capabilities, which will enable us to deliver greater value, greater technological autonomy, and greater competitiveness.”.
In this regard, AERTEC’s stated intention is to continue strengthening its leadership in the aeronautics sector, recognizing that talent has been the primary driving force behind the company’s current position of strength and leadership, and that it is talent that will enable the company to embark on a new phase of growth with a solid foundation. The transformation underway reflects the company’s commitment to delivering projects with greater technological value that are more specialized and aligned with the market’s evolving needs. People will continue to play a central role in this process. Therefore, the company will continue to attract highly qualified professionals in Málaga, Seville, and its other locations in Spain and around the world—professionals capable of contributing expert knowledge, innovation, and industrial vision. Its goal is to build a team prepared to compete in increasingly demanding environments and to develop distinctive solutions for the aerospace and defense sectors that have a real impact.
In summary, in the words of Gómez-Guillamón: “We are growing with a clear vision: to build a stronger, more global company specializing in airport consulting and proprietary technology for aviation and defense—one that is better prepared to meet the needs of our clients and markets, with production and lifecycle support facilities that meet the industrial capacity requirements necessary for maximum strategic autonomy.”
