The Andalusia Technology Park (PTA) hosted the third meeting of the Aeronautical Systems Cluster on November 26th, which encompasses a total of 14 companies and institutions. The objective set for this third call was the proposal of areas of action and projects of interest to the cluster members, with the aim of expanding their business lines.
The companies that attended this meeting were: AEI, AERTEC, Atyges, AT4 Wireless, CITIC, Coritel (Accenture group), DHV Technology, Fujistu, IBM, Indra, Mesurex Aeronautics, and Raytheon. Precisely, this last company hosted the Cluster members at its offices, where they visited the American multinational's facilities, where electronic systems have been manufactured since 1992.
According to Antonio Gómez-Guillamón, CEO of AERTEC, and a member of the Aeronautical Systems Cluster, “the competitiveness of companies in the aeronautical sector is intrinsically linked to two factors that are as important as their productivity and their capacity for creating corporate synergies in forums of this type.”.
The meeting also included Juan Pedro Vela, president of the Hélice Foundation, who pointed out that the “aeronautical sector has a growing presence in Andalusia,” highlighting that there are “very interesting possibilities for companies.” From his point of view, the implementation of actions of this type, which contribute to the development of the aeronautical sector, is especially valuable.
