Every day, millions of passengers fly from one place to another and thousands of tonnes of cargo are moved by air. Air traffic never rests. At any time of day, planes take off and land at different points around the globe. There are also satellites and other objects permanently orbiting the Earth, either with defined missions or as space debris.
