Sixth edition of the Master's in RPAS at the University of Huelva

MSc RPAS

Another year AERTEC Solutions actively collaborates in the Specialised Master in RPAS medium and large, which offers a first training stage covering advanced RPAS subjects such as regulations, propulsion, dynamics and control, payload management, avionics and operation. The activities for these modules take place between the facilities of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Huelva and the El Arenosillo Experimental Centre (CEDEA), headquarters of the National Institute of Aerospace Technology.

This MSc RPAS organises the University of Huelva (UHU), backed by the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA) and the integration of teaching staff for the degrees of Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Seville, as well as of Ministry of Defence and specialist companies, is focused on medium and large RPAS, unmanned aircraft weighing up to tonnes. This, of course, includes the more common drones weighing a few kilograms, which already have multiple applications today.

Another feature that adds value to the Master's degree is the enormous career and professional development opportunities what it offers and what, to date, has guaranteed a 90% job placement%for its graduates. The fundamental reason is the need that companies have for professionals specialized in RPAS and, to satisfy this demand, the Master's programme has signed practical training agreements focused on job placement with the most important companies in the sector.

As a summary of this training project, it is indicated:

  • The sixth edition of the RPAS Master's degree has begun, which has helped university graduates from diverse specialities (aeronautical, electronics, mechanical, computer science, telecommunications, biology, architecture and civil engineering, agronomy, environmental science, communications, physics, mathematics, geomatics and topography graduates…) to train.
  • The enrolment period is now open, and the preliminary step of pre-enrollment is required. https://masterdrones.eu/preinscripcion/
  • It is an in-person Master's degree, lasting one year, with classes held between the University of Huelva and INTA at its “El Arenosillo” Aerospace Vehicle Experimentation Centre.
  • The Master's degree comprises 100 credits or a thousand hours of teaching. Of these, 480 are formal teaching hours at UHU and INTA (El Arenosillo), and 520 are related to businesses and your career integration: company days, visits, seminars, a training period in companies (400 hours of specialised labour training in our partner entities), and a Final Master's Project, which is carried out at the company where you are training, supervised by a company tutor. You will be in contact with businesses almost from the moment you enrol in the Master's.
  • The academic record is important, but even more so is your Attitude, something that needs to be demonstrated and that companies value. To achieve this, we offer a Bespoke Career Guidance OPP
