Abu Dhabi airport masterplan

Abu Dhabi Airports, in collaboration with AERTEC, marks a new milestone with the update of key airports Masterplans

Last May, AERTEC embarked on a new phase of its collaboration with Abu Dhabi Airports with the updating of the master plan for Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Al Ain International Airport (AAN). Although the first milestones of the project have already been achieved, the next ones promise to be even more challenging, and both teams are working tirelessly to achieve them.

The master plan to expand Zayed International Airport (formerly Abu Dhabi International Airport) aims to increase its passenger capacity from 45 million to 75 million by 2045. The expansion is in line with the airport operator's growth targets and follows on from the recent opening of the new Terminal A. Construction is scheduled to begin in two years.

This ambitious project is driven by exceptional teams on both sides who, with their experience, collaboration and shared commitment, form the basis of a project that will leave a lasting mark on both airport platforms and the ecosystems surrounding them.

This initiative represents a strategic milestone in the long-term development of both airports and further strengthens the solid partnership between AERTEC and Abu Dhabi Airports.

AERTEC has already expanded its commercial facilities in the United Arab Emirates, at Al Bateen Airport in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It has also significantly increased its technical staff, defining a strategic move to accommodate the various projects and demand in the dynamic Middle Eastern market, where it has been playing a key role in the region for more than two decades.

AERTEC has extensive experience in consulting, technology and engineering projects within the airport sector. In the Middle East, the company has successfully completed numerous projects in the United Arab Emirates, as well as Jordan and Saudi Arabia, among other countries.

This strategic move by AERTEC marks a new horizon for the team's growth and the improvement of capabilities and opportunities within the aerospace, airport and defence sectors.
