New business opportunities at ADM Seville 2016

 

AERTEC Solutions participated from 10th to 13th May in the third edition of the business meeting “ADM Sevilla 2016 (Aerospace & Defence Meetings) , where the company presented its new technological solutions focused on the application of the “Future Factory”in the aerospace sector.

This concept, also known as “Industry 4.0”, considers the integration of those traditional production technologies with more novel ones (advanced robotics, digital engineering, the Internet of Things), with the aim of consolidating new advanced manufacturing methods that contribute to Improve competitiveness, productivity, and efficiency in the aerospace production sector. AERTEC Solutions is investing heavily in the development of these new technological solutions, as they are set to shape the future and evolution of aeronautical construction for the coming decades.

The company has participated in the development and integration of workbench solutions based on Augmented Reality (AR) for aircraft manufacturers, and has developed new tools to implement the simulation of production environments and telepresence as support in factories.

In addition to these new applications for the Factory of the Future, AERTEC Solutions will unveil its technological products and solutions aimed at Aerospace systems, especially to the Unmanned systems and platforms (RPAS/UAS) for the aerospace and defence sector, where it already possesses proprietary technological solutions for guidance and control, applicable to unmanned aerial systems and high-dynamics platforms.

In this field, its TARSIS 75 unmanned aerial platform stands out, a high-tech lightweight tactical RPAS designed for observation and surveillance applications. With a wingspan of 5.2 metres and a length of 2.9 metres, this aerial platform presents itself as a versatile, high-performance solution that allows for different configurations and missions. Its characteristics include a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 75 kg; a maximum payload weight of 12 kg; an endurance of 8-15 hours; and a cruising speed of 110 km/h.

Precisely AERTEC Solutions participated in two of the event's programme workshops, aimed at discussing with other sector experts. “The Factory of the Future” y “More Electric Aerospace Systems and Aircraft”.

The company showcased its engineering services portfolio for the aerospace sector and for the entire aircraft industrial cycle (industrialisation, manufacturing and testing) through its 24 m² corporate stand.2 located in the Seville Conference and Exhibition Centre complex, FIBES (Stand 8) -See-.

“Our aim is to strengthen our strategic positioning as one of the specialist international engineering firms for the aerospace industry, also through Development and application of proprietary technology that optimises resources and manufacturing processes in the sector. ADM is the benchmark event in Spain to analyse new business opportunities, consolidate relationships with partners and collaborators, and make contact with new or potential clients,” stated Antonio Gómez-Guillamón, Director of AERTEC Solutions.

ADM Sevilla is the largest aerospace business meeting in Spain, organised by the Ministry of Economy and Knowledge of the Regional Government of Andalusia, through Extenda-Andalusian Agency for External Promotion, and by the company BCI Aerospace.

The event is supported and sponsored by leading national and regional companies and agents in the sector and is expected to be attended by more than 460 companies from 28 countries, including manufacturers Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, and Embraer, and up to 41 major contractors and Tier Ones in the sector.

Strong sales growth 2015

AERTEC Solutions' upward trajectory in the technological field has been accompanied in 2015 by a strong consolidation of the company in the international market, where it has experienced a new quantitative and qualitative leap. The company closed the last year with a turnover of 22 million euros, an increase of 30% compared to 2014, thus ratifying the growth of its business in the sector in recent years.

Highlighting the consolidation of its international turnover, which reached €5.5 million and now represents 25%of its total income, a percentage that is even much higher in the case of its airports division, where the share of business in this specific field exceeds 70%. This growth and projection in foreign markets was sustained by the development of new projects in new countries, reaching a global total of 26 countries where projects have been carried out, spread across five continents, and exceeding one hundred airports with its own track record.
