AIRBUS awards PMO services to AERTEC

The aeronautical consultancy firm AERTEC, together with its French partner PLANITEC, has been awarded the framework contract for the next three years.

AIRBUS awards the aeronautical multinational AERTEC an important contract to provide services to the Programme Management Office (PMO) for three years. This contract makes AERTEC Solutions the only Spanish consultancy firm authorised to provide these services at AIRBUS. The award will cover the needs in this area in the Spanish centres until mid-2016 and ensure transnationality together with its partner PLANITEC for the contract at European level.

This reinforces the activity that AERTEC has been developing since 2010 in this context, in AIRBUS programmes such as the A350XWB and A320.

The framework contract consolidates AERTEC's position as a prime contractor for this type of services and creates opportunities, through PLANITEC, for close partnerships in France and at other EADS sites. As the consultancy firm itself announced at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget: “the knowledge and experience accumulated so far certifies us as a leading company in programme management and offers us the possibility of supporting the ancillary industry, where we already participate with a joint team formed by AIRBUS and a Spanish aerostructures Tier 1”.

AERTEC is a multinational engineering and consultancy company specialising in the aeronautical industry, airports and air transport. It has studies and projects in more than 18 countries, participates in the world's major aeronautical programmes and has references in 70 international airports. The company has offices in Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Portugal and Morocco, and has a team of more than 350 professional aeronautical experts.
