El campo de vuelo

We all know what what is an airport and, most probably, we have all used one on more than one occasion. This is where we start and end our journeys when we use air transport. They are huge, highly complex infrastructuresThe terminal is the place where the movement of aircraft, passengers, baggage, merchandise, fuel, catering, maintenance, air traffic, etc. is managed. However, we usually only maintain contact with a small area of them, such as the passenger terminal.

However, the most essential part of the airport's activityThe first one, which gives it all its meaning, takes place in the airfield. This is where a number of systems and facilities come together to enable aircraft to evolve efficiently and safely.

We have created this infographic to familiarise ourselves with some of these facilities that are fundamental to the development of airfield activity. Some are very recognisable while others are often overlooked by passengers. We invite you to download and share this infographic to learn more about the aeronautical side of our airports.
