Swiss Aerospace Cluster Tribune

The Swiss Aerospace Cluster is the sectoral network for supporting the Swiss aerospace industry for the transfer of contacts, knowledge and technology. One of the group's main objectives is to act as Red sectorial para la transferencia de conocimiento y tecnología of the Swiss space and aviation sector, satellite navigation, and the supply and downstream sector. Our focus is on connecting universities, universities of applied sciences, research and development organisations, and aerospace service companies, especially SMEs. Other priorities include representing the sector's interests, contact management, public relations, international networking, promoting R&D projects, events, and reporting for the aerospace sector.

The Swiss Aerospace Cluster is keen to establish business in the Middle East and to expand its knowledge and expertise into new markets.

After reaching the goal of 100 members, the Swiss Aerospace Cluster can look back on a fruitful and exciting history. On the one hand, among the stated objectives of the group is to enable the advanced cooperation between our members, given that the more of us there are, the greater the possibilities for cooperation. With this goal in mind, we continue to be busy with the ongoing incorporation of new members, particularly in the aerospace services and production sector. The Swiss Aerospace Cluster works to establish new contacts as well as to maintain existing partnerships with other European aerospace groups. Like the Swiss Aerospace Cluster, most of these aerospace groups are members of the EU-funded European Aviation Clusters Partnership (EACP). For this reason, the Swiss Aerospace Cluster plays a very active role in this aerospace network macro-organisation.

On the other hand, the Networking events promoted by the Swiss Aerospace Cluster have proven to be an excellent opportunity generator for interested parties. The Swiss Aerospace Cluster has visited member companies' facilities and combined these visits with so-called SACTalks on industry-specific topics or organised its own events with partner groups from all over the world (e.g. the Bodensee Aerospace Meeting in Zurich). For new members in particular, these events were an excellent opportunity to present their companies and to be welcomed into the Swiss Aerospace Cluster family. Of course, a highlight of November 2017 was the first joint action of the Helicopter Competence Centre at the Dubai Air Show. With its presence through the Swiss Pavilion, the message was clear: the Swiss Aerospace Cluster is keen to create business in the Middle East and to expand its expertise and competencies into new markets. In Shenyang (China), the Swiss Aerospace Cluster also made its first mark. We had the opportunity to present our competence to high-ranking politicians, aviation companies and other influential players in the industry.

Looking ahead, certain relevant milestones stand out on our agenda. We are expecting visits from groups from Europe and Asia, and with that, we will have the opportunity to host interesting events between groups. We are also going to drive entry into new markets., drawing on accumulated experience and across our extensive network, with activities already planned in China, Dubai, North America and the Nordic countries of Europe.

The Swiss Aerospace Cluster will be delighted to welcome you to any event organised by the group, any partner events or at any upcoming trade fairs.
