Manufacturing Engineering Services (2012-present)
AERTEC has been providing manufacturing engineering services for the A330-MRTT since 2012, our engineering services cover all stages of integration and assembly of MRTT aircraft at the Airbus D&S facilities (Getafe).
We are the preferred manufacturing engineering supplier (ME3S) for Airbus operations. In addition, we participate with our teams in the following programmes around the world: UK (FSTA), Australia (RAAF), Saudi Arabia (RSAF), United Arab Emirates (UAE), Singapore (GOS) and France (FAF).
Scope of services
Industrialisation activities
AERTEC takes the initial design proposal and converts it into working documentation, identifying incidents and process failures during the course of the conversion. In addition, we ensure that these issues are resolved and implemented on all subsequent aircraft to avoid quality non-compliance and additional costs.
Our main responsibility is the generation of documentation:
- Generation of structures
- Technical instructions (electrical or mechanical IT)
- Catia Manufacturing Solutions (CMS)
- Establishment and modification of routes and editable
- Configuration control
- Consensus with the design
For these activities, our engineers handle the following information and models:
- Drawings (2D) or official conversion models (3D)
- Incidents involving previous aircraft
- Regulations and procedures applicable to the processes
- Auxiliary consultation models for the right environment
- Installation configuration information
- Information provided by the customer
Sustainability and assistance activities
When the aircraft starts the conversion process, incidents may arise in the workshop (errors in the documentation, etc). At AERTEC we offer value engineering from the process to the final product, we analyse the time of each production process, tools and necessary means, we are the link between the design and the workshop. Our main activities are:
- Engineering support to the workshop (production managers, mechanics and electricians)
- Incident resolution
- ERC opening
- Implementation of design modifications
- ERC and HNC implementation
- Review of routes for the launch of orders
Organisational information
- On-site assistance at Airbus D&S facilities for different programmes
- Teams of more than 20 highly experienced and qualified engineers
- Applications and connections needed to perform the outsourced activities
- Each team has a focal point, who acts as the contact between the service coordinator and the assigned Airbus D&S manager.
- Services are provided in accordance with the Airbus D&S delivery catalogue.
