The 4th Industrial Revolution

Contrary to what many people think, to date, the Aviation industry has a strong human component. Craftsmanship prevails in a process where large machines, aircraft, are produced with thousands of different parts and tasks that converge in the production of a few tens of units per month, at best.

In reality, this is nothing compared to the automotive industry, where we can see manufacturing plants turning out an average of 50 vehicles every hour. This volume of production and the consequent higher number of parts and repetitive tasks means that the cost of incorporation of automation processes.

The aeronautics industry is making great strides towards incorporating the best of knowledge and experience The aim is to develop and incorporate the knowledge acquired in these other manufacturing sectors and incorporate them, to their own advantage, alongside newer technologies, processes and concepts.

In this infographic, we bring together some of these concepts and put them together with others that have been in use for some time. We invite you to learn about where the aeronautical factory is heading, as well as some of the technologies that are currently being worked on.
