Aeronautical engineer and expert in aerospace management. Winner of Engineer of the Year Award (COIAE 2022) and National Young Entrepreneur Award 2006.

Vicente Padilla

CEO and Co-Founder

Aeronautical Engineer and expert in aerospace management. Recognised with the Engineer of the Year Award (COIAE 2022) and Young National Entrepreneur 2006.

Our History

1997: Foundation

We were born in Malaga with the aim of offering specialised services in the aeronautical sector, combining engineering, consultancy and innovative solutions for the industry.

2000: First national project

In 2000, AERTEC signed its first national airport project with the award of the Fuerteventura airport runway extension project.

2001: First international step

We started our first international project at London Luton Airport and collaborated for the first time with Airbus Group. This milestone marked the beginning of our internationalisation strategy, consolidating our presence in the European market by opening offices in the UK.

2005: Large-scale projects / National Young Entrepreneur Award

We began to collaborate in emblematic projects in the aeronautical sector, working directly with global manufacturers and reinforcing our specialisation in engineering and technical consultancy.

2007: Consolidation in the UK and Ireland

We strengthened our presence in the UK and Ireland, expanding our customer network and developing key projects that drove our growth in the region.

2009: Team growth

We exceeded 200 professionals, consolidating our capabilities to tackle projects of greater scale and complexity.

2010: Diversification of services / Airport and systems consultancy

We expanded our portfolio with new areas such as airport consultancy and aerospace systems engineering, adapting to the growing needs of the sector.

2011: Global presence / Office in Toulouse and Lisbon

We expanded our operations with offices in Toulouse (France) and Lisbon (Portugal), reaching projects in the five continents and consolidating our position as a reference in airport engineering and consultancy.

2012: Consolidation in Belgium

We have gained a foothold in Belgium and exceeded 300 professionals, strengthening our international presence.

2013: Creation of AERTEC UK

We created AERTEC UK (UK) and acquired GLENSER Aerospace, reinforcing our industry leadership.

2014: We became Tier 1 suppliers to Airbus.

AERTEC has become a Tier 1 supplier to Airbus in manufacturing and project management services, providing services at the Seville and Getafe factories (Spain).

2015: Focus on innovation

First innovation projects focused on aeronautical manufacturing and aircraft systems, within both national and European initiatives.

2017: Anniversary and growth

We celebrated 20 years of experience with projects in 40 countries, we organised the first edition of the Malaga Aviation Forum and we consolidated our position as Tier 1 PMO of Airbus.

2018: AERTEC Germany and Expansion into new markets

AERTEC Germany is created to address the new challenges and contracts that have arisen in Germany, while successfully tackling new markets (Denver, USA, etc.).

2019: AERTEC France and International Awards

This year, we reached 160 airport projects worldwide, while the creation of AERTEC France was formalised, which will bring together the projects developed in that country.

2020: Consolidated global presence / Offices in Abu Dhabi

After more than two decades of growth, we have a strong international presence, offices in several countries and an outstanding track record in high-impact projects in the sector.

2022: Airbus Strategic Partner

We were selected by Airbus as EMES3 (Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering & Services Strategic Suppliers), standing out as one of their global strategic partners.

2024: New FAL TARSIS facilities

In 2024, new facilities will be inaugurated in Seville, including the TARSIS Final Assembly Line, equipped with the most modern technologies and capabilities in Spain for UAS development.

2025: Nuevo impulso

AERTEC cierra un acuerdo con Indra para la venta de su filial AERTEC DAS, responsable de exitoso sistema aéreo no tripulado clase 1 de ala fija TARSIS.

AERTEC continúa su expansión internacional en mercados clave, con el objetivo de seguir avanzando en el sector aeroportuario, sistemas de avión y defensa.
