Client: Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) / PARSONS
Operational readiness and airport transfer / ORAT (18 months)

The midfield terminal complex programme is midway through the ORAT development phase, and ADAC has requested expert advice to ensure that its opening process and reputational standing are in keeping with the prestige of the new terminal, which is seen as the gateway to Abu Dhabi.

The midfield terminal is the result of an ambitious design and the bulk of the work is scheduled for completion in June 2019. ADAC needs the building to be ready for opening as soon as possible as it is essential to carry out the relevant tests.

AERTEC will be involved in defining the business processes through:

¬ Developing and verifying business process mapping levels 1, 2 and 3 for all functions in conjunction with work groups and stakeholders, and ensuring that business objectives are aligned with service levels.

¬ Helping to define, develop, implement and efficiently maintain a set of effective processes and systems for airport operations, including interconnections with other business units and organisations, both internal and external, taking into account ADAC standards and systems.

We are also supporting improvements to airport services as follows:

¬ Reviewing the service model and, in turn, identifying gaps affecting ASQ and other quality indicators, ensuring that there are contracts, processes and procedures in place to fill these gaps. Where necessary, performing feasibility studies, as well as preparing any scoping and detailed documents required for the pre- and post-improvement phases of service implementation.

¬ Developing guides and other informative materials, such as airport maps and descriptions of services that can inform and guide teams. ¬ Working together with the sales team to make the most of any opportunities that arise.

AERTEC's team is also involved in phase 3 of ORAT, performing testing, familiarisation and training processes, and especially relocation.
