TEMGIR Project

Design and development of scale models to validate thermal behaviour in the architecture of aircraft electrical systems

Programme:

Clean Sky (SGO-04-006)

Period:

2014 – 2016

Area of innovation:

Validation systems for new architectures and efficient algorithms

Project objectives

TEMGIR delivers a thermal model of an aircraft showing both electrical and thermal behaviour, which will be able to model any relevant condition and scenario within different flight phases.

TEMGIR provides a thermal response according to the power source and is managed and monitored by the control and monitoring software system.

The project covers:

TEMGIR software allows equipment profiles and flight scenarios to be loaded in order to simulate behaviours during the flight phase, including in special aircraft locations and situations.

AERTEC’s contribution

Within this project, AERTEC's activities were:

  • Project management
  • Specifications
  • Architectural design
  • Detailed design
  • Manufacturing the cabinets and implementing all power supply systems and auxiliary units
  • Integration and distribution
  • Fine-tuning
  • Integrating the power regeneration module with the power supply system
  • Development of framework software for control and monitoring
