Validation systems for new architectures and efficient algorithms / Onboard systems
The aim of this research is to define and implement the concept of integrated modular avionics (IMA) for light small air transport (SAT) aircraft with between 6 and 19 passengers. The goal is for the European aeronautical industry to adopt fly-by-wire (FBW) systems to reduce the weight of avionics systems, reduce maintenance operations and improve safety by also enhancing the human-machine interface, and automatically helping to stabilise the aircraft.
The research for this project is focused on the design, manufacture, and qualification of a new computer node suitable for use in flight control in this air transport segment (SAT), by rethinking the architecture, design, software, production, and certification of a new concept in integrated modular avionics. AERTEC is leading the IMASAT project, in partnership with Clue Technologies, a specialist manufacturer of electronic systems for the aerospace industry.
