AERTEC and Saudi Arabia's Intra Defence have signed a strategic collaboration agreement, backed by the Spanish Ministry of Defence, which seeks to strengthen support for its missile systems throughout the region.
AERTEC Solutions and Saudi company Intra Defense Technologies have signed a strategic collaboration agreement to strengthen support for AERTEC's defence products in Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf region. The agreement was signed by Abdulaziz Al-Hussain, CEO of Intra Defence Technologies, and Pedro Becerra, Managing Director of Aerospace and Defence at AERTEC Solutions, during the World Defence Show 2026, which is being held this week in Riyadh.
El acuerdo tiene como objetivo principal fortalecer la capacidad de soporte local de Intra a las soluciones tecnológicas de AERTEC en Oriente Medio, consolidando la importancia de ambas compañías en un mercado clave para la industria de defensa global.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of the Spanish Ministry of Defence, represented by Lieutenant General Miguel Ivorra, Director General of Strategy and Innovation for the Defence Industry, whose presence underscores the strategic importance of the agreement and the support of the Spanish authorities for the internationalisation of the national industry.
The collaboration is part of AERTEC Solutions' strategy to expand and consolidate its activity in the region, where the company has been involved in defence technology projects for several years, strengthening its position and operational capacity in the Middle East.
In the words of Pedro Becerra, “this agreement with Intra Defence Technologies represents a key strategic step for AERTEC Solutions in a priority region for our activity. Saudi Arabia and the Gulf are now central to the transformation of defence capabilities, and having a solid local partner allows us to strengthen our support, operational proximity and adaptation of our solutions to the needs of the environment. The collaboration with Intra not only expands our industrial and technological presence in the Middle East, but also consolidates a model of cooperation based on mutual trust and a shared long-term vision in the field of defence."
