The specialisation of the Spanish technology company AERTEC Solutions in terms of on-board systems design is growing significantly. Some of its applications have been for its guided munitions systems and in its TARSIS unmanned aerial platforms. This expertiseThe knowledge acquired by the Andalusian company thanks to its participation in various R&D projects as part of European consortiums within the Clean Sky programme has been key to the Airbus Group's decision to trust AERTEC Solutions for the digitisation of their communication systems in aircraft cabins.
AERTEC Solutions' headquarters in the German city of Hamburg is leading these technological developments, the novelty of which lies in the application of SoC technology (system on chip) to aeronautical on-board systems.
The company's headquarters in Germany, in Hamburg, is working with the European aircraft manufacturer on the redesigning their critical systemsby applying what is known as SoC technology (system on chip), which consists of the integration of electronic components (known as COTS) in aeronautical on-board equipment that forms part of cabin intercom systems, such as the AAP (Additional Attendant Panel). The novelty lies in the application of this SoC technology in aeronautical on-board systems, which has not been widespread until now.
This innovative development carried out by AERTEC Solutions will allow for a paradigm shift in Airbus' on-board systems designThe project is aimed at digitising and strengthening the communications systems in the cockpits of the European aircraft manufacturer's civil aircraft.
For Rafael Ortiz, head of the Critical Systems department at AERTEC Solutions, "this new collaboration with Airbus has a high innovative component and involves the application of knowledge acquired by our engineers thanks to our own developments and AERTEC's participation in European projects, especially in avionicsThis allows us to generate and apply new technologies to the aeronautics industry.
These and other capabilities of the company, as well as its latest technological developments, have been showcased at the International Air and Space Show, better known as the Paris Air Show (Le Bourget Air Show), which is held in the French capital from 17 to 23 June. It is one of the most important events in the world, bringing together more than 2,300 exhibitors from all over the world, including AERTEC Solutions.
The engineering and consultancy multinational specialising in aeronautics and defence was part of the Spanish delegation of companies participating in the Paris Air Show, where it showcased its latest developments and capabilities within the aeronautical sector, such as its specialisation in the design of on-board systems.
