The multinational specialised in aeronautical engineering and consultancy services sets up the subsidiary AERTEC Solutions Ltd and establishes its own office in the United Kingdom.
AERTEC's first project in the British Isles was completed more than 11 years ago at London Luton Airport. Since then, the consultancy specialising in aeronautics has carried out work at Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Cardiff, Derry and Guernsey airports in Great Britain, and for Dublin and Kerry airports, among others, in Ireland.
The British aeronautical tradition and AERTEC's track record in the UK make the consultancy's decision to set up its own office a strategic decision.
Bristol is one of the most important aeronautical centres in Europe and has been the location chosen to develop the company's expansion from its industrial side. AERTEC has worked on different aircraft manufacturing and assembly programmes in France, China, Australia and Spain. It is now establishing itself in the United Kingdom to consolidate this activity in one of the most important aeronautical industries in the international sector, with more than 100 years of history.
Pedro de Melo Raposo, aeronautical engineer, Executive MBA from the Instituto de Empresa (IE), and until now the company's delegate in Portugal and Director of Aeronautics Business Development, is taking the helm of this new expansion project for the aeronautical consultancy firm. De Melo Raposo has extensive experience in the international aeronautical industry, with his knowledge of markets such as Brazil, India and China and his time at AIRBUS UK, AIRBUS Spain and the Aries Group, and his participation in programmes such as the A350XWB, the A340-600/-500, the AIRBUS A380-800 and the NH90.
AERTEC is a multinational engineering and consultancy company specialising in the aeronautical industry, airports and air transport. It has studies and projects in more than 15 countries, references in 78 international airports and participates in the world's major aeronautical programmes. The company has offices in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal and Morocco, a team of more than 300 professional aeronautical experts and a turnover of more than €16m.
