High traffic and population growth forecasts, coupled with a fast-evolving city, prompted the OAG to convert the existing airport facilities with <strong>a clear strategy to cope with future growth. <\/strong>To this end, AERTEC performed the following tasks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00ac Value engineering:<\/strong> comprehensive review and analysis of current project information followed by a value engineering study to achieve the best economic results, including a full statement, guidelines and recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00ac Assessment:<\/strong> this included an assessment of airport capacity, an evaluation of compliance with national and international regulations, identifying potential areas for optimisation and shortcomings, and risk management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00ac Technical feasibility:<\/strong> terminal planning, evaluation and optimisation of the existing terminal, passenger profile analysis, identifying bottlenecks, finding solutions and recommendations, establishing requirements (IATA requirements, CAPEX and OPEX), potential areas for optimisation, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00ac Financial feasibility:<\/strong> financial viability assessment and additional recommendations, and a full business plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00ac Privatisation and partnership model: <\/strong>identification and privatisation of viable options and assessment of identified scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00ac Privatisation roadmap:<\/strong> this included the development and validation of the work plan and the selection and bidding criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AERTEC led the entire transaction process, developed a robust passenger and cargo forecast, and liaised with investors.
