The journalist Nacho Martin<\/a><\/strong> you have recently carried out for The Economist<\/strong><\/a> an interview with Antonio G\u00f3mez-Guillam\u00f3n and Vicente Padilla, founders and CEOs of AERTEC<\/strong>. The interview takes place at an important moment for the company, following the sale of its UAS division, with more resources and a newly addressed strategic plan for the next three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this regard, AERTEC is redefining its industrial positioning following the 2025 sale of its TARSIS drone line to Indra, a strategic operation that frees up resources and reinforces its focus on the development of high-value proprietary technology<\/strong> in the fields of defence, aircraft systems, and airport infrastructure. The company, with a strong international track record in airport engineering and consultancy, thus consolidates a model based on advanced capabilities and technological specialisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this new approach, AERTEC is focusing its efforts on the development of its own smart weapon systems, highlighting two key programmes: the Fox I micro-missile \u2013 conceived as the first to be entirely manufactured in Spain \u2013 and the BAT guided gliding munition. These programmes reflect its ability to design, integrate and validate advanced solutions<\/strong>, aligned with the growing European demand for technological autonomy in defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exit from the drone business has not led to a withdrawal from the sector, but rather an evolution towards activities with higher technological intensity<\/strong> and less dependence on industrial scaling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the airport sector, AERTEC maintains its role as a global benchmark in the design, planning and digitalisation of infrastructure, with projects worldwide. Its comprehensive knowledge of the airport life cycle \u2013 from strategic planning to operation \u2013 is one of its key differentiating assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In parallel, the company continues to develop Embedded systems and engineering solutions for aircraft<\/strong>, including solutions for aircraft electrification, avionics integration, test benches and validation of critical systems, positioning itself as a technological partner in complex aerospace programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
