AERTEC is a company based on aeronautical knowledge and, therefore, we have a clear vocation to innovate in all aspects related to aerospace industry, systems and aviation.
AERTEC professionals have the opportunity to participate in the concept, design and even the development of systems and solutions that in many cases are still unknown. We like to innovate because it makes us more competitive, but, above all, because it helps us to advance further and better.
Here are some of the innovation initiatives we have implemented throughout AERTEC's history, but if you would like to find out more about everything we do in this field, please visit our innovation page.
The project focused on updating traffic forecasts and requirements, in light of the rapid and strong recovery of the aviation industry in Colombia. Our colleagues Dion, José Carlos and Alejandro from the airport infrastructure department were there.
Based on its participation in the European IMASAT project, led by AERTEC and with the participation of Clue Technologies, a smaller, lighter and more powerful on-board computer was designed to improve the concept of integrated modular avionics (IMA) for aircraft with 6 to 19 passengers. All the information on this project can be found at https://imasat.eu/.
Sponsored by the European Defence Agency and developed by AERTEC and GMV, the SAFETERM project addressed the use of state-of-the-art artificial intelligence/machine learning technologies to increase the level of safety in specific emergency situations leading to the termination of a UAS flight.
Development of technological tools that make it possible to carry out system verification processes reliably, safely, at low cost and with a high impact on the achievement of high product quality and its extended use throughout the entire aircraft life cycle, covering the design, manufacturing process and operational phases (maintenance, overhaul and repair of faults).
Demonstration, by means of representative prototypes of aerostructures, of the applicability of a set of innovative technologies in the design, manufacturing and ground testing phases. This system will revolutionise the way aircraft ground testing has been conducted to date. It is portable, wireless and conceived as a much more cost-effective solution for both the aerospace production and MRO domains.
Project focused on the development of new systems to support workshop operators, support manufacturing engineering and training in industrial processes with real-time exploitation of PLM information. The technological solutions focus on exploiting the information contained in PLM (Product LifeCycle Management) systems in real time through multiple virtual reality and augmented reality devices.
