AERTEC Solutions was in attendance at the sixteenth edition of the Dubai Airport Show. The event is one of the leading airport industry business fairs in the Middle East and Asia, and was held from the 9th to the 11th of May at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) in the Arab Emirate.

AERTEC Solutions was attending the Dubai Airport Show after experiencing a significant growth in its international airport business in the Middle East in recent years.

The company was aiming to strengthen its strategic positioning as an international specialist in the field of airport engineering and consultancy in the Middle East. It was scheduled to meet with existing partners and customers, as well as with other companies and entities linked to the airport industry, in order to discuss business collaboration opportunities.

AERTEC Solutions has a multidisciplinary team capable of developing expert services in aeronautical engineering and consultancy such as: airport planning; aeronautical safety studies; design of flight procedures; airspace studies; airport certification; basic design and construction projects for airfields; parking aprons and corresponding facilities; as well as the design of instrumental visual aids, etc.

Dubai Airport Show is organised by Reed Exhibitions under the patronage of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. The event is expected to attract over 7,500 industry professionals and over 300 of the world’s leading companies and agents, who will exhibit the latest technologies, developments and products in the airport industry. The event will also count on the participation of over 150 contractors and 50 buyers from regional aviation authorities.

Internationalisation in the Middle East

AERTEC Solutions was attending the Dubai Airport Show after experiencing a significant growth in its international airport business in the Middle East in recent years. This growth has seen the company carry out various projects in the region, specifically in countries such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The company also has a strong historical relationship with Jordan and has carried out important consultancy and engineering projects in its airport sector.

According to AERTEC Solutions’ Aviation Director, Carlos Berenguer, “Our goal is to continue increasing our share of international business in geographical areas such as the Middle East, where air traffic has experienced significant growth in the last decade and the world’s leading airlines operate via major air hubs”. “We can offer our knowledge and experience of almost two decades in airports in order to contribute to the growth of the sector”, he added.

Among the company’s projects, several projects are worth highlighting, such as: the improvement of several systems and facilities at the Queen Alia Airport in Amman (Jordan); the design of the aircraft maintenance hangars for Royal Jordanian Airlines; and the study to determine air traffic increase and the future growth of Aqaba Airport. Furthermore, the company has also conducted the maintenance audit of the ground lighting system at the new airport in Doha (Qatar) and the audit of the visual aids maintenance service at Hamad Airport, also in Qatar.

AERTEC Solutions’ international projects currently account for 75% of the company’s airport turnover. In addition to those carried out in the Middle East, these projects include work carried out for airports in other countries such as the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Spain, Turkey, Colombia, Panama, Peru, Chile and Brazil, among others.
