AERTEC exhibits at FEINDEF its high performance technology designed to improve military capabilities

The third edition of FEINDEF, the International Defense and Security Fair begins on May 17th at IFEMA. More than 450 exhibitors from 20 countries, with expectations pointing to exceeding more than 25,000 professional visitors, make FEINDEF the most important event in this sector in Spain.

International aeronautical engineering firm AERTEC, specialized in aerospace technology, will be present at stand D18A to showcase its technological solutions designed to improve military capabilities, their maximum exponent being the firm’s TARSIS fixed-wing UAS. AERTEC’s fully operational aerial platforms are designed with state-of-the-art Spanish technology, and allow a versatile configuration to fulfill missions that adapt to both user needs and defense operations.

AERTEC will showcase its technological solutions adapted to defense operations. The solutions include its TARSIS fixed-wing UAS, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, laser guidance kits and weapons management systems.

The TARSIS-W is a NATO Class I UAS capable of integrating two 50mm caliber micro-missile launchers under each semi-wing, with each launcher capable of housing up to 2 semi-active laser-guided micro-missiles with a range of 4 km depending on the altitude of the shot. It includes a Weapons Management System integrated with the Ground Control Station to operate the ammunition remotely and safely.

AERTEC also has references in laser-guided systems, such as a semi-active laser guidance kit that can be easily attached to propelled or free-fall platforms, target designation systems with the STANAG 3733 pulsed laser designator, and laser-guided Air-to-Ground micromissiles for UAS, such as the µASM A-Fox micromissile guided by semi-active laser designation (with a 4 km range and 500 grs. explosive charge).

More than 20 years of experience in the development of aeronautical technology for security and defense

AERTEC has more than two decades of experience developing its own technological solutions that add value to military capabilities, especially in the field of UAS, where it has positioned itself as one of the leading companies in Europe in the field of innovation applied to unmanned aerial systems.

The TARSIS are integrated into the RAPAZ Program of Spain’s Ministry of Defense, which evaluates the different class I RPAS systems (maximum takeoff weight less than 150 kg) developed by the Spanish industry for ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) missions. AERTEC has pioneered the use of 5G communications in the TARSIS UAS, in close collaboration with Vodafone, used both for high-definition camera communications and flight command management.

In addition to the TARSIS, AERTEC has a wide portfolio of developments in this field such as its ground control systems, state-of-the-art on-board systems and UAS simulation environments.
